On my own

From a series of work exploring solitude and loneliness. The onset of Covid-19 forced me into a path of self reflection and self actualisation. A lot of time was spent shut away either in the studio or in the house thinking and pondering life. The Pandemic triggered a level of self reflective thought that was unprecedented that for me sprouted seeds for spiritual growth and clarity.

“Loneliness is a perceived mismatch between the quality or quantity of social connections that a person has and what they would like to have” – The life in the studio can be a solitary existence as an artist, in the pursuit of creative clarity. The pandemic only reinforced and magnified an already state of being that I was accustomed to.
