This painting was based on observations made of women involved in the Adult Industry in particular a woman who was a close friend.
Sassy as I called her was her own woman, who was in control and strength and vulnerability entwined to maker her a force a nature. The world of the strip joint was one where powerful men came to unwind and act out behaviours that were masoginistic and sexist yet they were under the control of women like Sassy, who used there femininity and sexuality to assert there control over these men who had financial strength yet whilst in the arena of the strip joint they were resorted to being no more than a little boy.

Sassy is a powerful woman who owns who she is and operates in a world where commands respect and ensures she receives it
